Timing is everything, and the love story of Lauren and Matt is proof of that. What began as a flirty encounter eventually grew into a lifelong love. This engagement session gets my heart beating like you wouldn’t believe and gives me all the feels. With the lovely J.Anne Photography behind the camera, we can’t help but swoon over the romance.
How They Met
Lauren and Matt met on an ordinary day and developed an instant connection. Their friendship formed in a time when they both could use an escape from everyday life. When they first met they were both living in Lincoln, Nebraska. Lauren was in the middle of relocating back to Dallas, Texas and knew her time with Matt would be short. Even after her move, they both continued to stay in touch states away.
Several months later after communicating on Facebook they exchanged numbers. Lauren and Matt spent every day and night talking on the phone or texting. Lauren planned a trip back to visit her best friend after moving to Dallas. Finally, her and Matt would get to have their first date together. Luckily, they realized they had more than a connection and it was something special. From that point on, they took turns flying back and forth to see each other. Shortly after that first date, they were in a long-distance relationship states apart. It wasn’t long till Lauren moved back to Lincoln to be with Matt to continue their love story.
The Proposal Story
Lauren and Matt arrived in Las Vegas to spend the holidays with family, but Matt had something else special planned for the holiday season. He proposed to Lauren on December 22, 2019 at a Vegas Golden Knights game at T-Mobile Arena. Watching the Golden Knights is something they both love to do together. They always make sure to catch a game when they are visiting family in Las Vegas.
Matt solicited the help of Lauren’s boss to get them in the them in the Penalty Box to watch warmups before the game. He told her it would be an early birthday/ Christmas gift. Once warmups ended, the staff came over to give Lauren a bag with a jersey for her birthday. Shocked, she pulled out the jersey that read Zimmerman and lowered it to find Matt on his knee. To top things off, Matt had her parents there with them. He also arranged some of their friends to be in the crowd to congratulate the newly engaged couple!
The Ashley Creative team can’t wait for their magical and whimsical wedding this August at the Four Seasons Las Vegas.
