Alex & David’s fall wedding was set on the shores of Lake Tahoe at West Shore Cafe. The bride envisioned a destination celebration with a limited guest count of only their closest family & friends. Keeping the base of the wedding neutral, we were really able to add color into the flowers to highlight the autumn colors that Alex was looking for. Shades of rust, cappuccino, peach, bronze and true greens embodied all of the floral pieces.
The bride’s one request when it came to her wedding design was having a floral arch at the ceremony. Golden Fields Floristry created a gorgeous composition that stood out against the beautiful backdrop of Lake Tahoe. The aisle was lined with lush florals to create a cohesive look. Alex surprised her groom-to-be with a special song sung by their friend as they walked down the aisle. Let’s just say… there was not a dry eye in the crowd (including the groom, himself!)
Cocktail Hour was located on the patio & dock of West Shore Cafe. Signature drinks were featured – both a “Mountain Mule” & a Spicy Margarita. Stir sticks with their initials and custom cocktail napkins featuring their dog, Apollo, complimented the fun drinks.
Lake Tahoe’s cool October weather led us inside the venue’s cabin-like dining room for the reception. The space was filled with extra long tables with neutral velvet linen and small pops of florals to line the tables. Gorgeous heath plates by Theoni Collection were accented with gold flatware for a touch of old-world charm.
