HOW THEY MET
Chelsea & Al didn’t fall in love like they all do now – on Tinder, Bumbl or any of the other million dating apps out there. Nope! They fell in love with each other at work. Al started at ADP exactly one year after Chelsea had begun working there. Both in the sales department, they became super competitive with one another to hit their numbers….(Chelsea says she always won).
HOW HE PROPOSED
After months of dating, Al figured it was time to officially pop the question. Chelsea thought that she would be going to his parent’s house for their work holiday party. When she walked into the backyard, there was a pathway covered in rose petals, candles & more candles. They stopped and as Al gushed his love for Chelsea, Noah, Chelsea’s dog (and first love), came running from the side of the house with her engagement ring on his collar! All of their family and friends rushed out of the house to congratulate them.
THE WEDDING
Chelsea & Al jumped into wedding planning with the intentions of getting married at Cascata Golf Club in May of 2020. As the pandemic hit hard in March, they made the tough decision to postpone to September and move the wedding entirely to the backyard of the Mother of the Bride. The yard itself was already pristine and well kept by the homeowner, but we wanted to make sure the vision that Chelsea & Al had for their day came to life in this different location.
The ceremony was set against the tree lined wall and as guests entered, they were greeted with signature cocktails that displayed the couples wedding date and a floral motif that coordinated with their wedding invitations. Premiere Wedding Music’s string quartet serenaded guests with modern music on strings as we prepared to start the ceremony.
After Chelsea & Al were pronounced Mr. & Mrs, the guests were invited into the front yard for a cocktail hour while the creative team flipped the ceremony into a reception space. The long dining tables were dressed with white lace linen and velvet rose colored napkins provided by La Tavola Linen. Beautiful pops of ivory, eggplant dusty rose florals were showcased in the centerpieces and lots of taper and votive candles lined the tables to create a romantic atmosphere. Above the tables strung beautiful bistro lights with loose gardenesque greenery, giving it a totally intimate and cozy feel. The head table showcased a lush floral arch overhead to allow it to stand out amongst the other guest tables.
As guests reentered the backyard for the reception, DJ Mike Fox played jazzy tunes while they found their way to their seats. The night continued with dinner, dancing and an ice cream cart that displayed a customized logo with Chelsea & Al’s name and wedding date.
With all of the covid challenges that Chelsea & Al had to endure, it was so beautiful to see them celebrate in such a grand way. Congrats to Mr. & Mrs. Castaldo!
